Fircrest junkit hall8/15/2023 ![]() Our kitche serves up simple, hearty, camp food - nothing fancy. However, in the summer, we mostly eat outside under canopies set up around the big green lawn. Other times of the year, we use it for day groups and arts & crafts. In the summer, we run a small day camp using this space as a base for campground guests and local children. This little meadow and support cabin is close to the farm and archery. Each has heat and electricity but no bathroom. The five chalets are close to the Shire shower house. They are great for a couple or a family of three. No two chalets are the same and they still are very simple "wooden tents". Now, they are very well insulated, heated, but still quite unique. A few years ago, they were very simple structures with no windows and only used in the summer. Presently it can be used for cooking simple meals and for small gatherings to play games or get out of the weather. It is still unfinished - so we hung some groovy tapestries to cover some of the framing. It is a converted platform tent structure. The site is named for Camp Cardai Hill which was sold in the 1980s to help pay for Sound View Camp.Ĭaz is the support building for the Shire cabins. People that camp on Cardai Hill are treated to eagles and soft breezes. It sits next to the ruins of the beach lodge - possibly the oldest in camp. Sitting on a plateau at the end of the pier with an amazing view of Puget Sound, Cardai Hill is a popular camp site. The meeting room is equipped with a large TV, whiteboard, and internet.Įach bedroom has a bathroom with two sinks, toilet, and shower. The wrap-around porch has a wonderful view of the lower part of camp and some days you can even catch a glimpse of Mount Rainier. Youth groups can use up to 6 trundle beds in the meeting room if needed. Want to volunteer for a weekend and fix up some bikes - we would love to have you!Ĭalvinwood Lodge has a large meeting space, full kitchen, and four rooms that sleep 5 (3 bottom bunks) for a total of 20 beds. We are presently working on a bike repair shop which we hope to open in 2023. Sound View has some level bike trails that run through the woods and the farm area. The court can be set up for basketball, pickleball, or volleyball. We have bows to fit all ages and a friendly staff to get you started and run the range safely. The three Agape cabins have a bathroom (no shower) inside. This covered court can be used for all sorts of activities needing to be out of the sun or the rain.Īgape (pronounced Ah - Gah - Pea) cabins can sleep three adults or a family of four.
